Our Story

From Our Village to Your Family

There was a time when life was simple.

I grew up in a small village in Rajasthan where almost everything we ate came from our own farms. We grew our vegetables, harvested our grains, churned our butter, and made our own ghee. The only thing I remember buying from a shop was sugar.

Everything else came from nature.

Food wasn't just food—it was part of our family.

I watched my grandparents wake up before sunrise every day, caring for their animals as if they were members of the family. The cows and buffaloes grazed naturally, were fed with love, and gave milk that nourished generations.

Today, my grandfather's legacy still inspires us. He lived to nearly 90 years of age, and my grandmother, now 92, still lives an active and healthy life. Their strength wasn't built by expensive supplements or processed foods. It came from simple, honest meals prepared with ingredients made at home.

That is the world I grew up in.

Then I Left Home

Like many young people, I moved to a big city to study.

Later, my journey took me even further—to the United Kingdom, where I now work in investment banking while also running a small restaurant.

Living in large cities taught me something unexpected.

People had access to everything... except food they could truly trust.

Friends around me were constantly talking about health problems, digestion, stress, and lifestyle diseases. Supermarket shelves were full, yet finding genuinely traditional food became surprisingly difficult.

Food had become faster. Cheaper. More processed.

Somehow, we had lost the connection between the farmer and the family.

The Moment Everything Changed

In January 2026, I returned to my village.

One morning, I watched my grandmother making ghee exactly the way she always had—using the centuries-old Bilona method.

Nothing had changed.

Milk from naturally raised cows and buffaloes. Curd set overnight. Hand-churned butter. Slow-cooked over a gentle flame. No shortcuts. No machines. No industrial processing. Just patience, tradition, and generations of knowledge.

As the aroma filled the house, I realised something.

This wasn't just ghee.

This was the taste of my childhood.

This was what families in our cities had slowly lost.

A Bigger Problem

Our region of Rajasthan faces constant water scarcity. Growing vegetables on a large scale isn't possible for many families. For generations, dairy has been their primary source of income.

But despite all their hard work, farmers often receive very little for the milk they produce. They work every day. Care for their animals. Protect traditions passed down through generations. Yet the rewards rarely reflect their effort.

I couldn't stop thinking about it.

If families in cities were searching for authentic food... and farmers deserved a fair price... why couldn't we connect the two?

That's How Tatla Farms Was Born

I began speaking with local farming families. Not factories. Not large industrial suppliers. Real families who still make Bilona Ghee at home using traditional methods.

Instead of buying milk at unfair prices, we purchase handcrafted ghee directly from them, helping create better income while preserving a disappearing tradition.

Every jar represents hours of work.
Every purchase supports a farming family.
Every spoonful carries a story.

A Friend Who Believed in the Mission

Around this time, I shared the idea with my best friend, Prem. Known by millions for his work helping people and creating positive change, he immediately understood the vision.

He told me something I'll never forget:

"Every family deserves food they can trust."

That simple sentence became one of the biggest motivations behind Tatla Farms.

Our mission isn't simply to sell ghee. It's to reconnect families with food made the way it once was.

More Than Just Ghee

We believe real food begins with respect.

  • Respect for the farmer.
  • Respect for the animal.
  • Respect for tradition.
  • Respect for your family's health.

That's why every batch of Tatla Farms Bilona Ghee is made using milk from naturally raised cows and buffaloes by experienced farming families who continue to follow traditional practices handed down through generations.

No rush. No shortcuts. Just time, patience, and craftsmanship.
